How we treat your information.

The Vyne exists to introduce people to each other in person. To do that, we ask you for information. This document explains what we collect, what we use it for, and what we never do with it.

The Vyne is a brand operated by The Vyne Society, LLC. References to "we," "us," and "our" in this policy refer to The Vyne Society, LLC.

What we collect

When you apply for membership, we collect the information you provide on the application form:

We do not collect payment information at the application stage. If you are accepted, payment details are handled separately through our payment processor and are never stored by us directly.

How we use it

Your application information is used for one purpose: to decide whether to admit you, and to invite you to events if you're accepted.

Your application is read by members of The Vyne team. That is everyone with access.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, sponsors, marketers, or any third party for their own use. The Vyne is not, and will never be, an advertising business.

We use the following service providers to operate The Vyne. They process your information only on our behalf, only to the extent necessary to provide their service:

If a member of The Vyne vouches you in, we may confirm to that member that you submitted an application. We do not share the contents of your application with other members.

How long we keep it

If you are accepted, we keep your information for as long as you remain a member, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return.

If you are not accepted, we keep your application on file in case circumstances change. You may request deletion at any time.

If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so within thirty days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or financial reasons.

If you're in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the CCPA respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses minimal cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, or remarketing pixels.

We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors find our site and which pages they read. Any analytics we use are configured to collect aggregated, anonymous information only.

How we protect it

Your information is stored with reputable service providers who maintain industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach that affects you, we will notify you promptly and explain what happened, what we did about it, and what you can do.

Children

The Vyne is for adults. We do not knowingly accept applications from anyone under twenty-one. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under twenty-one, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date at the top. For material changes, we will email all members and active applicants before the changes take effect.
